The first thing you’ll need to do to turn your golf cart into an all-terrain vehicle is to install a lift kit. This is a relatively simple process that you can complete at home with the right tools. However, if you’re unfamiliar with golf cart maintenance, or simply don’t have the necessary equipment, you can always purchase a golf cart lift kit from your local dealership’s parts department. 

Tires

The wheels that are currently on your golf cart are likely meant for the soft grass of a golf course. While they travel well on grass and pavement, these wheels are not equipped to handle difficult terrain whatsoever. You’ll need to purchase a set of all-terrain or terrain-specific tires in order to get around on mud, dirt, or sand. 

Leaf Springs
